Sunrise eSIM for travelers
Our travel eSIM plans for Switzerland connect to the Sunrise network. If you searched for an eSIM for Sunrise coverage on a trip, this page explains exactly what we sell and where it works.
We are not Sunrise
eSIMion is not Sunrise, and we do not sell Sunrise SIM cards, Sunrise plans, or Sunrise top-ups. If you are a Sunrise customer looking for your own account, contact Sunrise directly.
What we sell is a prepaid travel eSIM. In Switzerland, that eSIM connects to the Sunrise network for data. You get local coverage without a Sunrise contract, a store visit, or a local sign-up.
How a travel eSIM on the Sunrise network works
You buy the plan before your trip and it arrives by email with a tap-to-install link and a QR code. When you land, your phone connects to Sunrise's towers and data works. Your home SIM stays in place and your number does not change.
Where Sunrise has built out 5G, you get 5G on supported plans. Elsewhere you get 4G, which is fine for maps, messaging, and video calls.
The plan is data only. It does not come with a local phone number, so calls and texts to your regular number still arrive through your home SIM.
Our Switzerland plans on Sunrise
Our Switzerland eSIM plans ride on Sunrise. The Switzerland page lists every plan size, validity, and what to expect from the network on the ground.
