eSIMion

My eSIM installed but I have no data

Turn on Data Roaming for the eSIM line. This is the fix nine times out of ten. Travel eSIMs connect through partner networks, so the phone treats the connection as roaming. It does not cost extra.

The full checklist

First, make sure the eSIM line is turned on in your settings.

Second, set the eSIM as your data line. On iPhone that is Settings, Cellular, Cellular Data. On Android it is Settings, Network & Internet, SIMs, then pick the eSIM for mobile data.

Third, turn on Data Roaming for the eSIM line. Not for your home SIM. Just the eSIM.

Fourth, check that you are inside the plan's coverage area. A local plan only works in its country.

Fifth, restart the phone. Networks often register properly after a restart.

Do not change the APN

Our eSIMs configure their network settings automatically. You should not need to enter or edit an APN.
