Oceania eSIM

Oceania pairs two big, well-connected countries with a scatter of Pacific islands that each run their own small networks. The common trip is Australia plus New Zealand, and a regional plan covers both without a mid-trip install.

Regional plans for Oceania

Each plan covers many countries in the region. The country count is shown with each plan. Every plan is prepaid, with no subscription.

The Tasman hop and island legs

Australia and New Zealand are separate coverage areas with a three-hour flight between them. A regional plan reconnects on landing in the second country with nothing to set up, which is the main reason to pick one for this region.

Pacific island stops are a different story. Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and their neighbors each run small national networks, and not every regional plan includes every island. Check the country list on the plan against your actual stops before relying on it.

Where coverage thins out

Australian and New Zealand cities and towns have fast data, and 5G is common in the metro areas. The Australian outback is the big exception. Once you leave the sealed highways, signal can vanish for hundreds of kilometers, so remote drives need offline maps and a told-someone-your-route habit.

New Zealand's gaps are smaller but real. Fiordland, the remote West Coast, and many hiking tracks have no coverage. On the islands, signal is best in the main towns and resort areas and thin on outer islands.

Regional plan or per-country plans?

Visiting both Australia and New Zealand, or adding a Pacific island leg, points to the regional plan. One install covers each flight in the itinerary.

A single-country trip gets more data for the money from that country's own plan below, and both Australia and New Zealand have strong single-country options.

What a Oceania eSIM costs

Regional trips vary too much for one printed price. Two weeks across Oceania needs a different plan than four days in one corner of it. So we price the trip, not the page.

Send your route to trips@get.esimion.com and the reply shows current prices for four options, matched to the countries you will actually visit.
