Africa eSIM
Africa is a continent of very different networks. Kenya, South Africa, and Morocco have fast, reliable data in their cities, while some neighbors have far less built out. A regional eSIM gives multi-country trips one working setup across that whole spread.
Regional plans for Africa
Each plan covers many countries in the region. The country count is shown with each plan. Every plan is prepaid, with no subscription.

Multi-country overland routes
Classic routes like Kenya into Tanzania, or South Africa into Namibia and Botswana, cross real borders where a local SIM from the last country stops working. A regional plan keeps one data pool running on both sides, which matters when the border post is hours from the nearest SIM shop.
Check the country list on each plan carefully. Regional Africa plans differ more in their coverage lists than plans for any other region, and the country you connect through matters more than the count.
Where coverage thins out
Cities and towns are well covered in most countries travelers visit, and 5G has arrived in parts of South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria. Outside towns, coverage follows the main roads and fades quickly in parks, deserts, and rural areas.
On safari, expect long stretches with no signal at all inside the parks. Lodges usually have Wi-Fi at the main building. Download offline maps, your bookings, and anything you need to show at gates before you leave town.
Regional plan or per-country plans?
A trip that crosses borders, or one where your route is not fixed yet, is the case for a regional plan. One install covers the itinerary however it shakes out.
For a single-country trip, that country's own plan below usually carries more data for the money, especially in the well-covered destinations like South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, and Morocco.
What a Africa eSIM costs
Regional trips vary too much for one printed price. Two weeks across Africa needs a different plan than four days in one corner of it. So we price the trip, not the page.
Send your route to trips@get.esimion.com and the reply shows current prices for four options, matched to the countries you will actually visit.
