Wind Tre eSIM for travelers
Our travel eSIM plans connect to the Wind Tre network in 2 countries. If you searched for an eSIM for Wind Tre coverage on a trip, this page explains exactly what we sell and where it works.
We are not Wind Tre
eSIMion is not Wind Tre, and we do not sell Wind Tre SIM cards, Wind Tre plans, or Wind Tre top-ups. If you are a Wind Tre customer looking for your own account, contact Wind Tre directly.
What we sell is a prepaid travel eSIM. In the countries listed below, that eSIM connects to the Wind Tre network for data. You get local coverage without a Wind Tre contract, a store visit, or a local sign-up.
How a travel eSIM on the Wind Tre network works
You buy the plan before your trip and it arrives by email with a tap-to-install link and a QR code. When you land, your phone connects to Wind Tre's towers (or a partner network, depending on the country) and data works. Your home SIM stays in place and your number does not change.
Where Wind Tre has built out 5G, you get 5G on supported plans. Elsewhere you get 4G, which is fine for maps, messaging, and video calls.
The plan is data only. It does not come with a local phone number, so calls and texts to your regular number still arrive through your home SIM.
Where our plans use the Wind Tre network
Plans that connect to Wind Tre are available for Italy and Vatican City. Each country page lists the plan sizes and what the network is like on the ground.
