Spark eSIM for travelers
Our travel eSIM plans for New Zealand connect to the Spark network. If you searched for an eSIM for Spark coverage on a trip, this page explains exactly what we sell and where it works.
We are not Spark
eSIMion is not Spark, and we do not sell Spark SIM cards, Spark plans, or Spark top-ups. If you are a Spark customer looking for your own account, contact Spark directly.
What we sell is a prepaid travel eSIM. In New Zealand, that eSIM connects to the Spark network for data. You get local coverage without a Spark contract, a store visit, or a local sign-up.
How a travel eSIM on the Spark network works
You buy the plan before your trip and it arrives by email with a tap-to-install link and a QR code. When you land, your phone connects to Spark's towers and data works. Your home SIM stays in place and your number does not change.
Where Spark has built out 5G, you get 5G on supported plans. Elsewhere you get 4G, which is fine for maps, messaging, and video calls.
The plan is data only. It does not come with a local phone number, so calls and texts to your regular number still arrive through your home SIM.
Our New Zealand plans on Spark
Our New Zealand eSIM plans ride on Spark. The New Zealand page lists every plan size, validity, and what to expect from the network on the ground.
