Smart eSIM for travelers
Our travel eSIM plans connect to the Smart network in 2 countries. If you searched for an eSIM for Smart coverage on a trip, this page explains exactly what we sell and where it works.
We are not Smart
eSIMion is not Smart, and we do not sell Smart SIM cards, Smart plans, or Smart top-ups. If you are a Smart customer looking for your own account, contact Smart directly.
What we sell is a prepaid travel eSIM. In the countries listed below, that eSIM connects to the Smart network for data. You get local coverage without a Smart contract, a store visit, or a local sign-up.
How a travel eSIM on the Smart network works
You buy the plan before your trip and it arrives by email with a tap-to-install link and a QR code. When you land, your phone connects to Smart's towers (or a partner network, depending on the country) and data works. Your home SIM stays in place and your number does not change.
Where Smart has built out 5G, you get 5G on supported plans. Elsewhere you get 4G, which is fine for maps, messaging, and video calls.
The plan is data only. It does not come with a local phone number, so calls and texts to your regular number still arrive through your home SIM.
Where our plans use the Smart network
Plans that connect to Smart are available for Cambodia and Philippines. Each country page lists the plan sizes and what the network is like on the ground.
