We are not Orange

eSIMion is not Orange, and we do not sell Orange SIM cards, Orange plans, or Orange top-ups. If you need help with your Orange account, contact Orange directly.

What we sell is a prepaid travel eSIM. In the countries listed below, that eSIM connects to the Orange network for data. You get local coverage without signing a contract with Orange, making a store visit, or completing a local sign-up.

How a travel eSIM on the Orange network works

You buy the plan before your trip and it arrives by email with a tap-to-install link and a QR code. When you arrive, your phone connects to Orange's towers (or a partner network, depending on the country) and data works. Your home SIM stays in place and your number does not change.

Where Orange has built out 5G, you get 5G on supported plans. Elsewhere you get 4G, which is fine for maps, messaging, and video calls.

The plan is data only. It does not come with a local phone number, so calls and texts to your regular number still arrive through your home SIM.

Plans that connect to Orange are available for Cameroon, Canary Islands, Central African Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, France, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Luxembourg, Madagascar, Mali and Mayotte and 6 more destinations. Orange across Europe and Africa

Orange operates in 18 countries across two continents. In Europe: France, Spain, Romania, Slovakia, Luxembourg, and Moldova. In Africa and the Indian Ocean: Morocco, Egypt, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Central African Republic, Madagascar, Réunion, and Mayotte.

The Canary Islands are also included, served by the same Orange Spain network. That covers Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and the rest of the archipelago.

Network quality by region

In France and Spain, Orange runs a mature 5G network in cities and major towns, with 4G covering most rural areas. Romania and Slovakia also have 5G in urban centres with strong 4G everywhere else.

In Morocco and Egypt, 4G coverage is reliable in cities and along main tourist routes. In West and Central Africa, 4G is available in capitals and regional towns; rural and remote areas vary more by country.
