MEO eSIM for travelers
Our travel eSIM plans connect to the MEO network in 2 countries. If you searched for an eSIM for MEO coverage on a trip, this page explains exactly what we sell and where it works.
We are not MEO
eSIMion is not MEO, and we do not sell MEO SIM cards, MEO plans, or MEO top-ups. If you are a MEO customer looking for your own account, contact MEO directly.
What we sell is a prepaid travel eSIM. In the countries listed below, that eSIM connects to the MEO network for data. You get local coverage without a MEO contract, a store visit, or a local sign-up.
How a travel eSIM on the MEO network works
You buy the plan before your trip and it arrives by email with a tap-to-install link and a QR code. When you land, your phone connects to MEO's towers (or a partner network, depending on the country) and data works. Your home SIM stays in place and your number does not change.
Where MEO has built out 5G, you get 5G on supported plans. Elsewhere you get 4G, which is fine for maps, messaging, and video calls.
The plan is data only. It does not come with a local phone number, so calls and texts to your regular number still arrive through your home SIM.
Where our plans use the MEO network
Plans that connect to MEO are available for Azores and Portugal. Each country page lists the plan sizes and what the network is like on the ground.
