Entel eSIM for travelers

Our travel eSIM plans connect to the Entel network in 2 countries. If you searched for an eSIM for Entel coverage on a trip, this page explains exactly what we sell and where it works.

We are not Entel

eSIMion is not Entel, and we do not sell Entel SIM cards, Entel plans, or Entel top-ups. If you are a Entel customer looking for your own account, contact Entel directly.

What we sell is a prepaid travel eSIM. In the countries listed below, that eSIM connects to the Entel network for data. You get local coverage without a Entel contract, a store visit, or a local sign-up.

How a travel eSIM on the Entel network works

You buy the plan before your trip and it arrives by email with a tap-to-install link and a QR code. When you land, your phone connects to Entel's towers (or a partner network, depending on the country) and data works. Your home SIM stays in place and your number does not change.

Where Entel has built out 5G, you get 5G on supported plans. Elsewhere you get 4G, which is fine for maps, messaging, and video calls.

The plan is data only. It does not come with a local phone number, so calls and texts to your regular number still arrive through your home SIM.

Where our plans use the Entel network

Plans that connect to Entel are available for Bolivia and Uruguay. Each country page lists the plan sizes and what the network is like on the ground.
